Course Outline

David has been messing about in boats and glass for over 30 years and in this workshop he hopes to inspire new watery glass creations. Design process will be explored using drawing and collage.  Over the four days, many kiln techniques will be covered and adapted to give the nautical flavour, including running/draping, pot melts, shell moulds, vitriograph, flame-working, frit, stained glass paint/stain to name a few!  This intensive workshop run over two consecutive Fridays and Saturdays offers students the opportunity to develop a body of work and explore a theme using a wide variety of techniques.   Some materials provided, students will need to purchase some glass depending on size of work undertaken, approx $80 plus
