If you are ready to take your bead making to the next level then this class offers you the perfect opportunity to learn some new skills and consolidate some basics along the way. Kathryn will teach students how to create hollow beads. Hollow beads are not only beautiful they allow you to create much bigger beads that are not as weighty as solid beads. Students are expected to have the basics of bead making under their belt. All tools provided, students will need to provide Bullseye glass rod (sold t Blue Dog Glass). Please wear suitable clothing: long pants, covered shoes and safety glasses.
Kathryn Wardill is a Melbourne based contemporary jeweller who received her Masters of Art, Fine Art by research from RMIT University in 1998. As a jeweller and glass artist she has sctively participated in group and solo exhibitions internationally for the last 21 years. Wardill’s dedication to researching jewellery objects which combine metal and glass, has resulted in solo exhibitions, artist in residencies and is represented by Studio Ingot and e.g.etal in Melbourne.
