Workshop Highlights
What is Glass Casting?
Glass casting is a process where glass is melted into a mould to create a solid, three-dimensional object. It’s a versatile and dynamic method that allows for the creation of both delicate and bold designs. In this workshop, you’ll explore various mould-making techniques, from open-face to deep moulds, learning which ones are best suited for different projects. You’ll also experiment with creating two-part master moulds and using silicone rubber to make repeatable models.
Materials and Costs
All essential materials and firings are included in the workshop fee, providing you with the necessary tools and knowledge to bring your vision to life. Participants will need to purchase their own casting glass, with an estimated cost of $200 or more depending on the size of the projects and the colours chosen.
Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn new techniques or an experienced artist wanting to refine your skills, this workshop is an excellent opportunity to dive deep into the world of glass casting.
