We can cover any topics in the field of kiln formed glass—just let us know in advance so we can make all the necessary preparations. Each class will be tailored to your needs and matched to your level of experience. Not sure how many days you will need? A lot can be covered in one day, but there are simply some topics that need a bit more time. For example, open face casting will need at least two full days, while lost wax casting will need three. Additional Costs: Extra materials such as glass, refractories, clay, screen preparation as well as firings will incur additional costs.
The prices quoted are for the entire studio as a package. For example, a one-on-one class costs $690, while a class for two people costs $730, reducing the cost to $365 per participant.
Booking for more than one person is super easy! Just book the day slot(s) you want, then send us an email to let us know how many people are coming. We’ll take care of the rest by raising an invoice for the balance and chatting with you about the topics you’d like to cover. At Blue Dog Studios we strive to bring our students a wide variety of classes, so considerable time and effort goes into making them available. However, we also understand cancellations sometimes occur. In order to keep class costs low for all, we make no exceptions to the following policies:
If Blue Dog Studios cancels: We want to reassure you that we strive to avoid cancellations whenever possible. However, if we do need to cancel a scheduled course, we’ll let you know at least one week in advance. In the unlikely event that we cancel, you will receive a full refund. Please note that we are not responsible for reimbursing travel costs or other associated expenses.
If you cancel or transfer: Students cancelling more than 10 days before the workshops starts will forfeit 50% of the class fees. Cancellations made fewer than ten days prior to commencement of class will forfeit all payments made.
Transferring to another class will incur a $50 administration fee. Transferring to another class needs to be done prior to 10 days before the class commences.
Transfers are not offered within 10 days of a class staring and all payments made will be forfeited.
