A great way to use up scrap glass is with a wire melt. Glass is suspended in the kiln on wire and allowed to drip onto the kiln shelf, creating amazing swirling patterns. Continuing on with our series of classes looking at how to use up scrap glass we have this workshop that investigates stacking strap and firing at high temperatures to create interesting sheets of glass that can be used for slumping or design features for other fused projects.  The new glass sheets will utilise heat, dilution and movement to make one-off creations. Bracelet Bending 2 weeks

Learn how to manipulate hot glass in the kiln to form solid fused glass bracelets. Students will be guided though the basics of kiln forming to produce blanks of glass suitable to then form over a mould to create bracelets.
