Beginner’s Kiln-Formed Glass Workshop: Fast-Track Your glass knowledge

Deep dive into world of kiln-formed glass with our immersive four-day course, designed specifically for beginners eager to develop their skills quickly or those who need a refresher. This class offers a comprehensive introduction to fusing and slumping glass, ensuring that by the end of the week, you’ll be confidently designing, preparing, and creating unique glass pieces. Expect to walk away with 3-5 finished pieces, ranging from platters and bowls to wall panels, sculptural works, or window hangers.

What is Kiln-Formed Glass? Kiln-formed glass refers to the process of shaping glass using the controlled heat of a kiln. Through techniques such as fusing, where glass pieces are heated until they bond together, and slumping, where glass is shaped over moulds, makers can create both functional and decorative items. The versatility of kiln-forming allows for wide range of textures, forms, and artistic expressions.
