Understanding glass temps and firing schedules

Join us in the studio where we will  take the mystery out of firing your kiln. Do you have a kiln and not sure how to successfully fire it for glass? Or are you interested in understanding how glass fires in a variety of situations? Then this is the class for you. This class covers a variety of topics to enable you to better understand how glass works in a kiln and thus have greater success when firing glass. We will discuss firing schedules for various situations including slumping, tack fusing, full fusing, firing thick glass and also cover areas such as annealing, viscosity, COE and glass dynamics. This class is suitable for beginners and those who feel they need a little help with firing their glass.
